300th Article: What I’ve Learned
Each time I complete a 100 articles, I’ll write about the experience. I like that the number grows. It feels like an accomplishment. Watching the number climb to 300 feels like watching your bank account rise to goals that you’ve set: it just makes you happy.
“But what have you learned from this experience,” is a question that I know that I’ll undoubtedly get. It’s one of those cringy questions where I visualize the person over exaggerating their expression while they ask it. But in this instance I actually don’t mind answering it. I learned nothing.
Only kidding. I learned which types of articles to tackle. It’s a heck of a lot easier to write in series then it is to come up with something unique each day. And I publish an article each day, rain or shine, there will be an article out.
I also look for opportunities that occur throughout the day. I find myself saying frequently, “oh this is going to make a great article. Let me make sure that I pay extra attention to this topic.”
Other times, usually during my walk, I’ll remember something that occurred years ago. I’ll walk through that scenario in my head and wonder what I could have done differently. That scenario usually ends up being an article.
