Getting Over the Flu in 1 Day
Well it was inevitable. I caught the Flu. When you have kids, you know it’s just a matter of time. What I didn’t expect is that I got over it in 1 day. I took a strategic approach to it this time and have been preparing for something like this for the past few months. Disturbingly, I was kind of hoping to catch it to test my hypothesis and see how fast I can get over it.
After my son caught it, I knew it was a matter of time before I caught it. As soon as I started feeling it, I got the ingredients that were stored in my mind. Nothing groundbreaking, but I wanted to see if it worked. We’ll cover that next. I think it makes sense to first introduce my lifestyle.
The Lifestyle
I decided to get and stay healthy this year. I go through my normal gym time, burn out, regression, and then gym time again. It’s always the same thing: I go too hard, get exhausted after a few months, and take a pause. That’s the gist of it, but it’s slightly more complicated than that. What causes the pause is usually an injury or sickness (like Covid) that get me out of the gym for a couple of weeks and motivation starts to slip.
Not this year. I consciously made it a priority in life. It really is that simple sometime. This year, my average step count is right above 20,000/day. My minimum is around 15,000 and the highest I’ve done is…
