Goal Driven Accomplishments

I noticed something about myself a few days ago. It’s something that I knew this whole time but it really hit home a couple of days ago when I thought about abandoning a goal. The goal that I’m about to share is not something that most people would find inspirational. It’s very materialistic :). The goal was to get an R35 GT-R by summer time of next year.

I devised a list like I normally do: paint the interior of the house, finish the book on PHP, and finish the book on Laravel. There were a couple of more items on that list like making sure that I keep up with my fitness goals by for the next 6 months.

I was pumped. I sat down and got to work. I’m currently a few chapters away from completing the PHP book and finished painting the master bathroom :). But, a more logical part of my brain kicked in and start saying how every dime should be put into stocks over the next year. I remember telling myself after the 2008 crash, “if there’s ever a time like this again, I’ll make sure to put everything into the stock market.”
